AFTER TWO TORN ACL'S, HIXON EXPECTS TO REMAIN WITH GIANTS
"New York Giants wide receiver
Domenik Hixon, who has
played only two games the past two seasons after tearing his right ACL twice, is
"hoping to finalize a contract very soon" to return to the team, his agent Eric
Metz told The Star-Ledger on Tuesday.
Hixon, 27, had a $600,000 base salary last
season and earned a $250,000 roster bonus, according to the newspaper, but tore
his right ACL in Week 2. He had suffered the same injury at a minicamp in June
With Mario Manningham expecting to leave the Giants as a free agent, Hixon could get a
chance for increased playing time if he is fully recovered.
Hixon, who had four catches for 50 yards and a touchdown last season, has 63
catches for 838 yards and four touchdowns in his six-year career.
He played his first two seasons in Denver."
