    TERRELL THOMAS EXPECTS TO RE-SIGN WITH GIANTS PRIOR TO START OF FREE AGENCY

    TERRELL THOMAS EXPECTS TO RE-SIGN WITH GIANTS PRIOR TO START OF FREE AGENCY

    "With free agency now right around the corner, the New York
    Giants must make several important decisions on impending free agents or risk
    losing them to other teams. One of those impending free agents is cornerback <a class="st_tag internal_tag" title="Posts tagged with Terrell Thomas" href="http://www.giants101.com/tag/terrell-thomas/" rel="tag nofollow">Terrell
    Thomas</a>, who was only a year away from commanding huge money before he went
    down with a torn ACL.

    Thomas, while appearing on SiriusXM NFL Radio Thursday night, said his rehab is going quite well and that he's worked very hard to
    get back to where his was prior to the injury.</p>
    <blockquote>

    "I’m pretty much at a good-paced jog,’’ he said. “Not a sprint but a nice
    jog. I’m cutting, jumping, and next week I start cutting on the grass and get
    fitted for my knee brace, so it’s picking up. The fun part of rehab is
    definitely there. I’m doing lunges and squats. I’m squatting 300 pounds 10 times
    so I’m definitely confident and just looking forward to coming back in 2012 and
    showing everybody how hard I worked in this offseason."</p></blockquote>

    The 2008 second-round draft pick has also posted several videos of his progress on his Twitter account to show
    how far he's come.</p>

    But what does he expect to happen come March 13th? This past Wednesday, he
    was counting down, tweeting: "14 days…..Tic Toc Tic Toc Tic Toc."</p>

    His tune changed a bit on Thursday night, as he told the hosts on SiriusXM NFL Radio that
    he expects to re-sign with the Giants.</p>
    <blockquote>

    “When you do the study on people coming off injury the best possibility is
    always to return to the same team that you were previously with,’’ Thomas said.
    “They know you best. Obviously this industry is a business so I’m definitely
    open to free agency, but the talks with the Giants are going very well. I don’t
    think they want me to hit the free agent market and so we’ll know in a couple of
    weeks whether I’m a free agent or I return to the New York Giants.”</p></blockquote>

    As Paul Schwartz reports, Big Blue is likely to sign Thomas to a short-term
    contract that allows him re-establish his value."</p>

    Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience!

    That is exactly what I would love. Kind of what we did with Kiwi. I would like Goff to get a short term sign as well. </P>
