PEYTON MANNING AND THE COLTS TO SPLIT AFTER 14 SEASONS

"After months of speculation, Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts will
    reportedly part ways.

    ESPN
is reporting that the Colts will cut Manning -- their franchise quarterback
since selecting him with the first overall selection in 1998 -- before he is due
a $28 million roster bonus on Thursday. He has four years remaining on his
contract and will become a free agent.

ESPN is reporting a press conference is scheduled for tomorrow.

Manning -- who led the Colts to 11 playoff appearances, two Super Bowl
appearances and a Super Bowl victory -- missed the entire 2011 season due to a
severe neck injury that required three surgeries in the span of 19 months.

Without Manning, the Colts sputtered to a 2-14 campaign, earning the first
pick in April's draft while Peyton's brother Eli led the Giants to a Super Bowl
    in Indianapolis.

Doctors have cleared Manning, a four-time MVP, to continue his career and he
has reportedly progressed in recent months since the last surgery in September,
but his health remains a mystery going forward.

The Colts are expected to select Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck, widely
considered the best quarterback prospect since Manning himself. Heisman trophy
winner Robert Griffin III of Baylor is also a possibility."

His horsemen are getting the boot from Indy too.

In addition, Reggie Wayne, Pierre Garcon, Anthony Gonzalez, Jacob Tamme to be FAs soon as none of them have not been re-signed yet.

At Least Indy will still have Andrew Luck and the Indy 500..
