Evaluate LB Psns (This is intriguing)

(Theme: Where can we improve throught FA and draft)
    Q1: Who do we cut?
Q2: Who do you prefer as replacement or improvement via FA or draft?

    THIS IS INTERESTING...
1- I can see Kiwi playing at both OLB and DE.
    Gives us Greater Flexibility
2- I can see drafting another pure OLB.
3- I can see drafting another DE.

Re: Evaluate LB Psns (This is intriguing)

Intriguing is completely right. At one level, we have seemed to have landed some great young LBs last year, and if Goff can come back fully healthy, then it should be a solid group. The problem is that there seems to be lacking that one 'top notch' player. I like our OLBs in pass coverage with Boley and Williams, but I am not crazy about their pass rushing, even though the team has not really demanded much of that due to our DLine's freakish abilities.

I worry about the ability to stop the run, so I would say that there lies the main concern. I think that Sintim could be out, and Kiwi starts at OLB and takes part as a situational DE.

Kiwi is a huge asset, as his skill set allows for flexibility. But Sintim (whom I was so excited about when we first got him), has been a complete bust. Herzlich did not impress me at all, but rookies rarely do, so he should be allowed to develop.

You make good points. I completely agree. Whenever we have an opportunity to get a Blue Chip can't miss Stud Play Maker I'm sure we will go BPA, even if the position is already loaded.

Examples: DE JPP and CB Prince Amukamura

If Boley gets hurt, we have an exposure behind him. With a healthy Goff at Mike, we have good ILB depth.
