GIANTS SIGN FORMER REDSKINS' SAFETY CHRIS HORTON
"The Giants <a href="http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2012/03/giants_sign_former_dallas_cowb.html">signed
a former Dallas Cowboy</a>, <a href="http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2012/03/jeremy_shockey_wants_reunion_w.html">have
brought in another one for a visit</a> and now have added a one-time Washington
Redskin.
The team signed defensive back Chris Horton, according to his agent Gary
Uberstine.</p>
Horton, Washington's seventh-round pick in 2008, started 15 games in his
first two seasons combined. In 2010, Horton suffered an ankle injury that landed
him on injured reserve in late October. He was released at final cuts last
season.</p>
Horton, 27, had three interceptions and a sack as a rookie. He's expected to
contribute on special teams with the Giants.</p>
"Congrats," <a href="https://twitter.com/#%21/doughty37/status/180379613250338816">Redskins
safety Reed Doughty tweeted</a> to Horton. "They have a good (special) teams
coach (Tom Quinn), too. Good luck."</p>
We've added Horton to our <a href="http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2012/03/giants_2012_free_agents_tracki.html">Giants
free-agency tracker</a>.</p>

Meanwhile, DT Jimmy Kennedy is saying his goodbyes to the Giants'
organization on Twitter right now, though it seems like it has more to do with a
report than the team telling him he's gone.</p>
"I will always Love The Giants for allowing me to be apart of my Hometown
team. To Win the Superbowl in New York was amazing," <a href="https://twitter.com/#%21/Kennedy73/status/180382862657331200">he
tweeted</a>. "The respect that I have for the Giants organization will always
remain high. They are a group of Classy Men. <a href="https://twitter.com/#%21/Kennedy73/status/180383209148784640">Thank you
NYG!</a>"</p>
At one point Kennedy congratulated DT Rocky Bernard because he read the team
is interested in having him return. Uberstine, who also represents Bernard, said
his client has not re-signed with the team as of yet."</p>
