What is going on in San Fran?

Crazy to me that they made the NFC championship and basically have let their QB go without making sure they wrapped up Peyton. Not to mention Peyton is an aging QB with questionable longevity. Who knows what Alex Smith could have developed into. With some more pieces around him Smith may have developed. They really have gone all in in San Fran, if Peyton goes to the Titans they potentially become irrelevant in the NFC.

Alex Smith is nothing special. The fact that he had the least amount of attempts of any 16 game starter is not attributed to his success, the offense they ran screams hiding the QB.

They have a rocket arm and mobility on their bench if they lose out on Manning and Smith and he has two vertical threats in Manningham and Moss, an elite TE, and a solid possession receiver in Crabtree.

Maybe even sign Matt Hasselbeck if Peyton goes to Tennessee.
