Why not Ted Ginn?

return game yes. receiver wise he's mediocre at best. i'd prefer a better guy being our#3

i wouldnt mind him, i think one area we were def. weak in was PR ... and who knows ... we have a solid passing attack ... Ginn might be a nice little 3rd/4th WR weapon with a lot of attention being paid to Nicks and Cruz</P>

I prefer drafting Joe Adams out of Arkansas in the 4 th or 5th round. Practically a Mario clone 5' 11'' and 190 lbs but a true demon in ST, a former consensus All-American kickoff-punt return specialist in 2011. I dig this kid a lot.

Ginn has proven he is not much Of a wideout-his routes are not precise - not tough over the middle and even with all that speed he is not much of a deep
Threat bc his routes are poor and he does not get off jams well.

That makes ginn a pure st guy and while the giants have lacked in that area I still think they have hope for Jernigan /hixon and would rather sink money into a player who can do more then just specials. Instead sign a third wideout who can catch 30- 40 balls and maybe 4-6tds rather then a pure specialist- especially when you cAn draft returners- and Jernigan is still a hope. Or use the limited cap space on goff or a third safety or lineman and wait or the youngsters to develop into third wideout where ginn is not a factor

If he'd take a salary commensurate of a return/ST teams guy, then I'd definitely be interested in looking at him.

We would use him almost entirely in the return game, and now we have Hixon. Considering our issues with cap space, it'd be a very expensive move in order to get a guy just to return punts sometimes. Ginn does not catch the ball well enough or run good enough routes to be effective in our passing game.

It's not a pressing need for us with Hixon returning, especially one that we're going to shoot ourselves in the foot over.

Don't get me wrong, if he came very cheap I would love to have him playing STs.

That was his original grade pre-combine but he is raising and of course I'm only hoping he is there in the 4th. He is an upgrade to oir STs and realistically can see him contributing as a 3rd WR right away. Granted he is not a 1st round talent but he comes out of college playing in a pro-style offense, great route runner, makes good separation from defenders, has a lot of speed and is an agressive ST player. I easily can see him playing the role of MM had of the team and the some and prefer to take somewaht pf a flyer on him than going after a WR in the 1st rounds. Just saying IMO and of lots of experts that the kid is a true sleeper and can excel in the right system and if used properly .
