What genius decided to build a nuclear plant on the coastline of Japan?

I'm sure it is the most engineered plant in the world for earthquakes, and it still couldn't handle it!

Can't fight the forces of mother nature....

    that's not the problem.

the problem is the lack of power. (electrical)

the power outage has caused the cooling systems for the nuclear reactors to go offline.

so here's all this fission just violently shaking and building intensity...

I wonder if Japan will revisit its nuke plants once they can get a handle on things and go back to normalcy. They seem to have a lot of such a small country? And worse, being in the ring of fire?

Are they not able to use any other form of energy?

I do have to give CNN some credit. They seem to be broadcasting the most on this crisis while other news stations are going to back to their normal programming.
