It's an inside joke we have because everyone seems to beleive that 2012 is the end of the world.
So now any time 2012 shows up, we post it here. If you want to play along, just keep your ears open
and you'll find that you'll hear 2012 more often than not....

When I brought up 2012, we had a member here that was "suppose" to get his drivers license in 2012.

Both my drivers license and credit card expires in 2012.

Also, the date that the end of the world is suppose to be December 21, 2012.

December 21 is JG's birthday...

Now that you know, it is your responsbility to alert us of any 2012 that comes your way!!!

Pass it on!!!

Out of the other "conspiracies" because NASA actually believes this, it's the most valid
thing that most people should be concerned about.

i guess one could look at the numerical significance of

Dec the 12th month or 2-6's

**12 AD, 2-6's

i knew about the reversal of magnetic poles for one because i went to school and studied SIngle-Phase Electricity (and scientific Theories related) and this was brought up.

and before that while i served, we were told about it during our Land Navigation courses since we use the lenstatic(sp) compass, a straight edge and your topographical map complete with grid squares.

hey MJG, ever see an enlisted man sent to look for a box of grid squares???? how about look up AR-A.I.R.15-2????[]

one time i even saw a guy told to check the rounds by tapping on them with a sledge...what an idiot.

HD combo drives to take two-third of market by 2012

It's
generally believed that one of the reasons the HD video "revolution"
hasn't exactly exploded out of the gate is the lack of an affordable
player capable of handling both formats. Currently, LG's BH100 combo
player is available for $599-$699. Newer, better models are coming from
both LG Electronics and Samsung, but both the BH200 and Samsung's
BD-UP5000 are expected to debut well above the BH100's current price.
At current prices, combo drives aren't particularly good deals; it's
possible to buy two discrete players (one HD DVD, one Blu-ray) for less
than the price of a single drive.
