I just read that Keith Olberman and Matthews have effectively been censored/demoted by MSNBC.

Yes...Olberman is a liberal but, what happened to balance. Olberman got in trouble for doing a heart felt tribute to 9/11 victims during the Republican National Convention and highlighting the need for experience at the top. (I saw the actual broadcast...and it is very strange that someone would take offense to it...since it could also be viewed as a shot at Obama's inexperience)

While some will suggest Chris Matthews is pro-democrat...you obviously have not seen him skewer Hillary Clinton.

I was a little said to read this because no matter what Olberman's political views are...he was entertaining and was clearly knowledgable.

I never liked Chris Matthews anyways...so who cares.

YIKES!!!!!! That cost more than my lap top and my iPhone!

I wish that your area handled the iPhone....because it does the same thing, and it does NOT have Vista. I have 8 diff email accounts on my iPhone (for google alerts on the NYG's etc) and they all work perfect!!!!

Well, after I posted that, I saw that Apple unveiled the new iPod!! I guess it's the same thing as the iPhone 3G design just without the iPhone. So for $229, I might have that in my pocket this week!!
    [/quote]

For $299 you can have the iPhone, which already has the iPod included in it!!! And the camera part is WONDERFUL! The pics are clear, and you have a camera/computer/phone/iPod with you, everywhere you go.....[] PLUS unlimited text !!! (that is how I got all of my olympics scoop...as soon as someone from the USA won a medal, NBC had a text on my iPhone.)

Yeah but Verizon's network is superb compared to practically everyone else...I don't have a contract with them anymore so I can go to ATT's network but I am concerned about migrating over as I have heard they have goofed up a lot of transfers and people were charged a lot of money and services fees they weren't suppose to so you had to fight ATT to get them to reimburse you...

If I wanted a brand new phone number, I would just give ATT a shot but I want to keep my current number...

I'm the "guy" that gets that kind of luck.

A good example is this last Monday, I called my doctor to cancel my appointment this coming Thursday and the lady on the phone said ok, you're cancelled. I was going to ask her if I could get some kind of confirmation but I figured I'd stop being paranoid.

Low and behold, the next day, (yesterday) the doctors office called me to confirm my appointment!!

I said, WTF! I called Monday to cancel!! They said ooooops, ok now you're really cancelled this time...

This happened 2 days ago, you're a little slow... [:P]

Anyways, to answer your question, the rumor is that Tom Brokaw (NBC) told Jeff Zucker to make it happen as he wasn't entirely happy with these 2 guys coverage...

What Tom says, you must do!!!!

“There never has been one injury, so early in the season, that has affected football and a team’s chance of winning more than the Tom Brady injury… The Patriots are still favored to make the playoffs, but have fallen into being categorized as no better than the 6th or 7th best team in the AFC until Matt Cassel proves differently.”

I just pray the NYG's can stay HEALTHY!!!! There were SO many frickin' injuries last Sunday!!!!

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Most of former professional wrestler Ric Flair's fights were scripted. But Chapel Hill, N.C., police didn't find anything fake about the blood and bruises on the Nature Boy after a fight with his daughter's 22-year-old boyfriend.

Neither man was charged, but Flair's daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Fliehr, was charged for resisting police after the 22-year-old became belligerent and kicked an officer, Chapel Hill police Lt. Kevin Gunter said Tuesday.

Neighbors called police about 2:30 a.m. Friday about a fight at an apartment in the city about 30 miles northwest of Raleigh. The fight was over, but officers followed a trail of blood to Fliehr's apartment.

There was an on air dustup between Olberman and Matthews where they took swipes at on another...Jon Stewart's the Daily Show showed it.

Olberman also told Scarborough.."Why don't you bring your shovel next time"...

It was great entertainment. Brokaw looked a little passed his expiry date as a media guy....and out of touch himself.

They were FIGHTING like cats and dogs thru' the DNC/RNC....everybody hated it, and MSNBC HAD to do something.

You are the 1st person that I have heard stick up for Olber******.....he is gross. Nobody can stand him, as far as I have read or seen.

I love Chris Matthews, I even bought his book. Chris can be manic tho' and then he loses control of his mouth. I like the way he is always teaching kids, and trying to help them develop their brain. Plus, he is so funny when he goes on talk shows, and he spills all of the latest dirt.

This place is totally amazing. The rescue animals that zoo's, or exoctic keepers don't want to care for because the animals have special needs. We are currently contributors to the foundation. It's amazing. They have the old tiger from the Exxon commercials.
