It is a miracle!!!!!!! I am back on a laptop!!!!!!!! I was so sick of using an iPhone for the internet, I feel like I could just puke & throw it out the window now.....geeeeeeez, I am sick of that thing.

I feel like I just died & went to heaven!!!!! Got a new PC laptop today at Sam's, after my brother, who is a turd, destroyed the PC that I gave to my sweet little mom to use, over at her house.

The PC was $1299.37 and Sam's had it on sale for $674.81!!!!!!!! So I saved $624.56!!!!! LOVE IT!!! It is a Dell...and so far I love it a million times more that the HP or Toshiba. It seems to be a much more high class operation. Comes with a sturdy carrying case, an ornate soft "leather" like holder thing with 2 books, 16 slots for CD/DVD's, some holder with cleaning cloth things, various pen holder slots, etc.

So far, I am impressed & the keyboard is much nicer that HP or Toshiba. PLUS, I was SO RELIEVED, it does not have those 3 million things on your desk top, like HP does, that you have to get rid of!!!!

Since I am starting fresh, I am trying to only use Firefox....I hate it so far, because I am so used to IE, but I am not going to give up!!! If you guys say it is better.....I know that it has got to be better, I just have to get used to it.....but I sure miss all of my junk on IE.....whaaa whaaa whaaa

The guy at the check-out, looked over all of the specs for me (he had built his own computer & he is gifted with one of those computer brains), he said the computer was a very good deal....better than the other computer deals that they had at Sam's today.

BTW.....The economy can't be that bad.....the store was packed today, with early holiday shoppers, buying all that junk that is made in China!!!
Congrats on your PC. I'm not a Dell guy but as long as your off your iPhone it's better than nothing!
I am getting a new laptop too, it should be shipping this week. It is a monster!

Firefox is much better, and I'm a windows guy so I have nothing against IE, FF is just flat out better...
Download the Add On called Forecast Fox, I use it all the time, it shows the weather on the bottom of your browser and alerts you if there's any warnings in your area...

The media is responsible for a lot of gloom and doom news. They depress you. When I went to the outlet a couple weeks ago, it was so packed it took 2 hours for me to LEAVE the parking lot...
Thx....I am going to do Forecast Fox right now.

FF keeps saying I am timed out...so I know I am doing something wrong. When I am in IE...I just sail through all of my banking stuff. But in FF, they say the bank web site took too long & they timed me out???!!!!
Anybody read Peter King's MMQB today? What a doushe King is. The dude want's to fellate Rhomo something serious. Here's DB quote #1:
ut the Giants are doing two things in keeping Jacobs' carries down:
They're keeping him fresh for January (or attempting to; he bruised his
knee Sunday) because he's never been a 300-carry guy in the pros and
the Giants don't want to risk finding out if he could be. Two: The
Giants would have to pay Jacobs the free-agent $7 million a year if he
were to win a rushing title this year -- and he certainly could if that
were the goal here. But why do it if you're playing great by sharing
    the load?

Yep, that's it Peter, the Gmen want to nickle and dime Jacobs......
    And then
Romo? His hand hurt, and he wasn't perfect. But he saved the Dallas
season. The numbers don't matter. His leadership and presence do. If I
were him, I'd take a DVD of this game, put it away and take it out one
day next spring while throwing the ball into the couch at home (

    PUKE!

    Anybody worried about the Cards?
Did King watch the same game I did? Romo didn't save anything...I would vote for Barber

AG....I spent 3 days, researching and typing up data for my mom, to send to her attorney. It is all on the word processor part of my old Toshiba.

I want to put that disk in & clean the Toshiba, twice like you said, before I sell the Toshiba to Costco for their "save the planet, recycle green".....whatever.

But 1st I need to save the letter & my other junk on the Toshiba. So I bought a USB 4GB at Sam's to put my data on . Can you tell me the easiest way to do that?

This screen comes up that says that I need to insert a floppy disk???? WHAT?? I just want my stuff on the USB drive.

BTW.....when you send packages, hands down, Fed Express is CHEAP!!!! I saved $50++ last Christmas using FedEx instead of UPS or the post office. However....I sent 3 letters for my mom. One to her attorney, one to her brother in Wisconsin and one to her sister in Florida.....OMG!!!!! It cost $86.00!!!!! I almost told the guy to forget it....I'll walk down to Florida & up to Wisconsin myself with the &%#*$ letters!!!!

What a frickin' dichotomy between their price in sending a package & sending a letter. The poor check out guy says, "well, fuel is expensive & DHL just had to go out of business." LOL....he hasn't been to the pumps lately! I am shocked at how much cheaper it is to fill up the tank!
Save your file locally to your toshiba. Then copy the file to your USB drive. I don't know what word processing program you have?

When you insert your USB drive, you should get a new drive letter like E: or F:

Do you have a floppy drive? If you do then that's A: and your main drive is C: and if you have a cd rom then it's D: all by default.

    So, A: C: and D:

Your USB drive you should get the next letter E:

That makes no sense....?? FF always performs better than IE, I wonder what your Dell is doing?

I am not worried about the Cards or the Cowboys. All these people who think the Cowboys are back crack me up. Because they beat a mediocre Washington Redskins team? Give me a break. The Cardinals are different because of their amazing passing offense but a little bit of pressure and Warner turns the ball over like crazy.

Don't worry about the prompt that asks you for the floppy drive.

Just find the files you saved on your toshiba and copy them to your E drive....

The cowboys win suppressed the skins from inching closer to us. It was better that the cowgirls won.
If the skins won, they would hold a division record over the cowgirls and be closer to us...right now the rest of the teams are at the bottom of the pile while the Giants build a huge lead over all of them.
