Anyone here remember a band called Porno for Pyros?
Rage was pretty good, but they were WAY too political.

    I know this is ironic, coming from someone with Joe Strummer in his avatar, but Rage's ideas, I couldn't agree with... The Clash stood up for stuff I believe in. Rage was just like **** all government...

    rage was a lil over the top, but if u apply some of their lyrics to the shizzle this country is in today, it makes alot more sense and could be related more.

    But rage as the band wtih zachs screeching vocals, toms crazy style, and a metal funky bass feel. Rage was the greatest band of my generation
Yeah, Rage was pretty good... I'll give 'em that...

    I like Guerrilla Radio

LT= Lawrence Taylor said

    you ain't never lied.

    i loved RATM, Guerilla Radio may have been their most "commercial" album, Evil Empire was pretty dope and of course their self-titled was so cutting edge.

    you got to recall that when they bust on the scene, rock in general was coming out of the 80s big hair era, grunge, alternative and metal were either being born or re-inventing themselves. i dabbled with Pantera a bit (Walk is effin phenomenal); but as the only black guy i knew i had no one to confirm or deny just why the skinheads liked Pantera so much...

    but i craved that hard sound and being that i liked rap, hearing Zach De Larocha screaming political angst with hip hop breaks and metal riffs was like "whoa".

    (at this time hip-hop was being "attacked" "mauled" "hi-jacked" and "mishandled" and ultimately headed for the ICU)

    anyways since the early-to-mid 90s the alternative scene began to become more Pop Music-esque. Hell even Country music started to sound more Pop like...

    don't sacrifice good art for a quick money fix is all i'm saying.
