Bradshaw Ready to Be "Go To Guy"

Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw declared himself healthy and ready for whatever the team asks him to do next season.

With the recent release of Brandon Jacobs, the Giants may need to depend on Bradshaw to produce like he did in 2010, when he had a career-high 276 carries and 1,235 yards. Bradshaw was limited to 171 carries and 659 yards in 12 games this season due to a stress fracture in his right foot.

“I picture my role to be just like [it was in 2010],” Bradshaw said. “I got the stem cell injection on my right foot that I re-fractured and it feels great. I feel like I can come out this next season and be ready for whatever they give me.”

Bradshaw, who has spent the majority of his Giants’ career splitting carries with Jacobs, said he knew there was a chance his running mate might leave. He said he will miss him.

“I wouldn’t want him to leave for nothing,” he said.

Bradshaw admitted Jacobs’ fate is out of his control and wished him well.

“Whatever he does, whatever decisions are made, it’s all business and I can’t do anything about it,” Bradshaw said. “If he does leave, I just hope he has a successful rest of his career.”

Exactly, hold a press conference with his feet/ankles then get back to me on that. The guy was practically running on his rims with no tires the entire second half of the season and post season. Still a beast and has the heart of a lion.

this....I love Bradshaw but he shouldn't get any more than 50% of the carries, someone needs to step up to take Jacobs' former role...I'm hoping it's Scott

    Uhh...... Feet
Football has been very, very good to us.
In the midst of this losing season, we can console ourselves with this fact-

    # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
2-Washington, Green Bay, Denver, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
    3-San Francisco, Dallas, New England
    4-New York Giants!!!!!

[/quote]I'm going to have to agree with the rest of you guys. I think we should work on the O-line and count on Scott and maybe another rb in the mid rounds or in FA.

i love bradshaw, but who can honestly think he's capable of MORE carries at this point in time in his career.

when was the last time he practiced regularly (wed, thurs, fri) with the team?

    it's literally been years.

he's learned to protect his ankles by utilizing the turn back, sit down TD move []

he hasn't been able to carry the majority of the load without damaging himself for the last three seasons. Nest year will be no different. The Giants need two solid guys on the depth chart behind AB.

Don't take it personal, we're just debating.
