Amendola injury prone, they are stocking up, see where the chips fall at the end of the cuts come August.</P>

True.

But SS is dirt cheap (probably close to vet min) and has upside if he can return to form.

Kind of a no harm no foul type of pick up in my mind. I'm more surprised the Giants didn't grab him (I wonder if there is some bad blood there?).

True, but I think the Rams are trying to get all hands on deck (no pun intended) for Bradford. He has yet to have a good stable of receivers in his young career. Lloyd bolted in free agency, and you never know what could happen in the draft because they aren't guaranteed to get Blackmon at number 6 in the draft. It's not an ideal personnel move for the Rams, but SS is really the only decent receiver left on the market. He's still young, and there may be some hope that he can be a 1,000 yard receiver again.
