JPP is cleaning up real good!!!

This kid was raw in every way coming out of college and I remember thinking when I listened to him address the media for the first time after he was drafted that he might be a bust. That all seems so foolish now. I also remember thinking that maybe people were enamored so much with his athleticism that maybe his ability (or lack thereof) to grasp how to play was overlooked but I am happy to say I was definitely wrong about that. This kid is rapidly becoming a polished and mature player; definitely much faster than I ever thought he would. You can definitely see confidence and leadership growing exponentially, especially over the last few weeks. I believe JPP is going to be a player we talk about admirably long after his playing days are over. If Jerry is smart, he would lock him up now with a long term deal.

JPP is a beast at his current role-which will only expand.... He will be the next Strahan at this pace. Another defensive leader is always good... I expect big things from this kid.... hopefully he pans out...

What really stands out about JPP is how fast he moves those first 2-3 yards off the line. He makes tackles look like they are moving in slow motion. Add in the fact that hes got a relentless motor and is capable of making tackles in space and we have a once in a lifetime type of player perhaps on our hands.

I'm not gonna lie, I hated this pick when it happened, now he's like the only standout player on the defense. Funny how things workout.
