Two years ago, Reese predicted Boss would have a breakout year. How'd that work out? Beckum? A bust that's now completely busted. Ballard was okay while he lasted and stayed under the radar.

The Giants are aching for a big-time TE in the worst way. I hope we finally have him.

That may well be Martellus Bennett this season

I don't see the problem -- Boss was an effective TE, but had concussion issues. Beckum stinks, but Ballard was having a tremendous (not just OK) season before getting injured later on in the year.

The last time we had a "big-time" TE was Shockey and we won 2 SB's without him. Don't buy into this TE-craze currently going on in the NFL. I like the duality of the position, but we've been doing just fine with superior WRs and non-elite TEs.

If this kid pans out (again, if), he could become a serious matchup problem for defenses.....sounds like he's already good as a blocker; if he can peel off and catch the ball, with his size and speed, he could add a nice dimension.

Well put. Sure I'd like to have a Gronk or a Jimmy Graham, but we don't NEED them to win per se as evidence of our recent Super Bowl!

Let's put the women and children to bed and go lookin' for dinner

I thought Gronk was the JPP of tight ends.

I think Robinson gets a lot of playing time this year. Much more than one would think. Especially if he already can block well.
We need our coaches to assign playing time based on something other than player salary.

Bennett is going to be our #1 TE this season and do it damn well. Love the pickup. Robinson sounds like he needs at least ayear to get into the feel of the game. He sounds raw, but sounds like he can come in on certain packages. If all goes well, 2013 is Robinsons season he shines.

I think Bennett will be 100% the #1 starter the whole season.

This kid might need a year.

That being said, it seems like we went from no TEs to many TEs in a matter of no time.

So what happens when Ballard gets back??

Bennett, Ballard, Pascoe, Robinson, and beckum but who cares.
