Interesting links concerning Giants draft grade/strategy...

Walter Football's draft grade on the Giants is here (sorry, can't do hyperlinks for the computer I'm at):

    http://walterfootball.com/offseason2012nyg.php

What I found interesting was when one of the board members on the site called out Walter's criticism of Wilson in the 1st with this link:

    which links to:

    http://www.patspulpit.com/2012/4/25/...ls-draft-board

which gives an idea of what Reese & Co. were looking at by showing how Parcells & Polian did their own mock board. Just in terms of how they rank/grade the players.

Just posted it because I thought it was interesting.

i will say this...i originally thought lamar miller had more upside than martin or wilson, and had wilson ranked higher than martin.

and i also had streeter rated higher than a 6th round pick...

that said, each team will develop their own draft boards based on a multitude of reasons.

just bc parcells and polian had a draft board, while interesting, has no real bearing on what any given team is thinking...

Parcells/Polian board was just to show how some GM's may group players for the draft -- not trying to show up JR or that it has any bearing on how anyone else drafts. Just found it interesting.

I find it incredible that some actually find Wilson to be a "reach."

Didn't care to read the rest when I reached this part:

This caught Reese completely unawares, and so he panicked and reached for David Wilson at No. 32 overall.

Parcells / Polian also had David Wilson rated higher than Doug Martin. So why is it so hard for this board to believe JR when he said David Wilson was rated higher on their board.

WalterFootball is such a hypocrite. Just a couple of weeks ago he mocked David Wilson himself going to the Giants at 32 calling him the BPA, the Giants need a Jacobs replacement, pick makes sense, blah blah blah...

Now he writes David Wilson is a reach and makes up a story about how Jerry Reese panicked with the selection of Doug Martin ...Honestly It's such a joke of a write-up. He has no cred...the guy just changes his rankings week to week, based on what he hears from others, and doesn't realize he's bashing the same players he previously ranked so highly just days prior.
