    Whatever happened to THIS Osi?

    [link]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TV9atmvz9eM[/link]

I forgot how much of a beast he used too be! What happened to this run defense he showed in that video? Did it disappear with age? that would make no sense

does osi have anything left in the tank to play at this high of a level ever again?

Re: Whatever happened to THIS Osi?

the thing is, is how does that osi compare to the JPP we have right now?

I believe Osi can continually be one of the best pass rushing specialists in the league. if he could only understand the situation a little better, he could turn in 3 or 4 or maybe even more years of top line play of what is asked of him.

i dont know why osi has his ups and downs vs the run. maybe its his outlook on his situation. he must know sacks, FF, pressures is whats garnishing big paydays, and we all know thats his #1 goal, so maybe he's placing his emphasis and attention on that, and not as much as the run...who knows.

its certainly favorable for the giants to have a guy like JPP offset Osi's ransom and demands tho. but good link and good post

I think part of Osi's problem is that he was mentored by Michael Strahan who was always looking for more money and bigger paydays and holding out if necessary, seems like he learned his lessons well.

5 years, bum knees with meniscus damages ( 2 knee surgeries ) bum ankles, he's still a beast but father time has taken a toll on Osi.

Strahan was always kind of a diva, but I love what he's done after his career ended. He loves the Giants organization and is probably one of the Giants' biggest fans. I think Tiki might also kind of regret what he did, and I don't blame Tiki for being pissed about it. Maybe he could have handled it better, but he was unhappy with his job and his bosses and he quit and *****ed about it. I'm sure some people on this board have done that. He's not like Parcells who is afraid to show his face at Giants stadium (even though he gets thunderous applause at all recognition he gets there even though he screwed the Giants over worse than Tiki ever could have). Every time the organization invites Tiki out for an event or something, he goes.

Strahan was a diva? What is your definition of a diva?

He was an offseason diva. Back in 2000 or 2002 when his whole contract thing went down... He played his balls off, don't get me wrong, but he had a me first attitude for much of his career. In fact, I didn't really see him as a great teammate and leader until the 2007 season. Remember the whole "ballin'" thing? That was ****y diva stuff. I loved Strahan, and I never thought he was a cancer to the team, but he was ever so slightly a diva.

No, but he is awesome at what he did last year. The problem is, he wants to get paid for how he played 5 years ago.

Ya know, I really think you guys are spoiled. OSI is still a beast when he has his health. Osi could start on 31 other teams.
