Glass half full
Thats sort of how I look at injuries like the one to Nicks, and even ones we had early last year. First, its only a broken bone in his foot. Second, young guys may get a few more reps early on, which can only help their develpoment. Finally, I will take injuries in OTA's, and training camp, over late season injuries all day. If you think about it, the team had all year for guys to step up over time, as opposed to being thrown into the fire prior to a playoff game, or playoff type game. Just ask teams like the Bears (Forte), and Texans (Shaub, Johnson) to name a few. So half glass full...
Re: Glass half full
Never anything good about any player going down. It hurts more when it is your number 1 wr.
What will hopefully come from this is the young guys on this team will develop with more reps in practice and add to Eli's arsenal. It will also hopefully get the media to write off the Giants and maybe start the "Fire Coughlin" bit.
We all know how that ends.
