    No More Pity, For Saints

You couldn't help but feel sorry for the Saints after Katrina hit. It forced them to play in our stadium. ( But beating them then was like stepping on your kid brothers head, while he was asleep ) But that was then, this is now. After winning their SB, and embarrassing the Giants on national TV. We get them out of their " Comfort Zone " I hope we bust them up, but good on Dec. 9th

Football has been very, very good to us.
Even though 2013 was a losing season, we can console ourselves with this fact-

    # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
2-Washington, Green Bay, Denver, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
    3-San Francisco, Dallas, New England
    4-New York Giants!!!!!

    Let's make it 5 in 2014 !!!

Why would anyone feel sorry for the Saints after Katrina, when the team's relocation and the repair of the Super Dome were given a higher priority than the citizens of NO who had lost everything and got ZERO help? I saved all my sympathy for the everyday people of New Orleans!!!

Apparently it's also what the people of New Orleans wanted. I've been down there on work trips since Katrina (even as recent as January, I arrived on the day the niners beat them). According to the people down there, the saints are very friendly and help out a lot in the town when they're able. Not to mention that the team was basically a symbol for the entire city to rally behind. Many of the folk down there said that without the Saints, the city would never have recovered to the extent that it has. The city's reaction to the bountygate scandal seems perfectly normal based on what i've seen firsthand.

Honestly, I know we have all the hate for them because they just plain have our number, but I think it's unjustified. After they got dumped in the divisional round, Saints fans started rooting for the Giants (or, more specifically, their native son Eli) en masse. It's not like Philadelphia at all...

All that said, I'm still hoping for a win against them in 2012...

They got zero help from their Mayor, Senators, and Govenor who just sat on their hands ( Instead of Bussing people out of there, when they were told to get the heck out ) They could have immediately declared marshal law, opened up emergency hurricane shelters away from the coast. The govennor doesn't need permission to send in the national guard. And then there are the " Knotheads " that live in the " Bath Tub " who decided to get drunk at the Super Dome. The leaders had no plan, the people had no plan. Sympathy for the the good people of New Orleans, yes all day long. None for their leaders Stupidity.

Oh, there's no love for their politicians. Most of those got ousted in short order (at least the ones they could touch, like the mayor). But they see the football players more as symbols of the city than anything else. On that first night I was there, the streets were practically empty until the game ended (and then a lot of depression)...
