Okay, just trying to understand pre-season football a little better, so please bear with me...I heard from some people that teams who do bad in pre-season do well in regular season and vice versa. That there are teams with players hungry for a spot on the team so they try really hard and succeed in pre-season. I also ask because (dear god, I hope it's ok to say this here) the Jaguars have been on a good streak, but normally suck in regular season and am curious to know if this theory applies.
I know it's only pre-season and the games don't really count and blah, blah, blah...but I still want to understand the rationale behind it. So, is this true?
