    The Patriots just extended TE Hernandez's contract

    What, if anything, does that mean for Jake Ballard's future in New England??

    Gronk and Hernandez are pretty much both #1 TEs. I guess Ballard would be their backup should the Pats decide to keep him.

    Keeping that TE duo together is excellent for New England - they're each only scratching their potential. I wonder what this means (if anything) for Wes Welker?

    I think it was a good business move for the Patriots. They can trade one of their awesome TEs for something worth it sooner or later and they'll be golden.
