Can someone PLEASE explain Canadian Football to me?

So I thought it was basically American Football with larger end zones, a wider field, and only 3 downs. But this just completely confused me.
Can anyone who is familiar please explain this to me??

cant say for certain, but it has something to do with what's called a rouge... that is a point for the kicking team if the coverage keeps the receiving team in the endzone on a kick return or missed field goal.
I believe a rouge is also awarded if the ball is punted out of the end zone as well.
don't quote me on it though..

OK. Thanks for the help, that would definitely make sense. Not a bad rule persay, just a little weird to see for those of us who were raised on American Football. Do we have any fans north of the border who can confirm?
