I think the limp he had after that play was from the pain of his knee hitting the ground on the way down. Like the pain you get when you slam your elbow into something, initially it hurts, but it wears off and you're fine.

Well the guy stepped on this foot, then he got shoe string tackled on the same foot a few plays later.. you can be safe and say his ankle/foot hurts right now..
