Giants vs. Buccaneers: Learning from the snap counts
Excerpt: "Here are a few things we can note from the snap counts data now provided by the NFL as part of the Game Book summary.
Giants offensive plays -- 84
Buccaneers offensive plays -- 53
Martellus Bennett (83) -- Missed only one of the Giants' 84 offensive plays. Will Beatty (70) -- Took over at left tackle after David Diehl went down with a knee injury.Andre Brown (53) -- That's mroe snaps than he had played in his NFL career up to that point. He will get more.Ramses Barden (47) -- Clear choice for the No. 3 receiver spot once Domenik Hixon went down with a concussion. Reuben Randle played only three snaps on offense.David Wilson (6) -- Umm, he might be "a little bit" out of Tom Coughlin's doghouse. But, he is still on a very short leash. And dropping an easy pass that pretty much killed a drive won't help." Read more...

Linval Joseph (37), Rocky Bernard (33), Markus Kuhn (4) -- I grouped these together because these numbers for
Joseph and Bernard are much better than the 50 or more they played last week. It also illustrates that the plays
Joseph and Bernard got off weren't because of help at tackle. It was because either Justin Tuck or JPP had moved inside. Marvin Austin did not play.
Justin Tryon (9) -- And dare I say that's nine more than ideal.
