    Giants-Bucs: Hits, Misses, and Musings

    http://insidefootball.com/blog/archives/5199

Excerpt: "The Giants’ comeback against the Bucs was certainly inspiring, but not as inspiring as the comeback of running back André Brown.

Think about it for a moment. There are so many talented people out there who are just itching for a chance, but who never really get it because either they don’t know the right people or there’s someone more established in front of them.

But if you believe in yourself, and you take advantage of the opportunities you do get, good things can happen to you, as Brown found out this week.

Here is a former fourth round draft pick who, in his rookie season, suffered a torn Achilles. He bounced around the league, stopping with four teams before landing back with the Giants. And even then, there was some question about his ability to grasp an NFL playbook after he was inconsistent during spring practices.

But Brown was patient. He put in hard work on the practice squad, and although he was never called upon last year, even as the running game struggled, he waited. And this week, his big opportunity came up and lo and behold, a star seems to have been born.

It’s only one game and there’s a chance that Brown, if he starts, could go back to obscurity if the Panthers figure out a way to stop the Giants’ run. The point is that if you’ve ever doubted yourself in a situation where you know you had the goods to get a job done, but the opportunities to show people just weren’t coming for you, by having a little patience and sticking to your craft, eventually something is going to go your way." I agree.. People get promoted all the time due to who they know in the Business world, not what they know. And the person that should have gotten the position stays held back. This is his chance thursday night on the National Stage to show everyone who Andre Brown is

I think DJ had 1 rush for 6 yards...

Also Manningham for SF.. He didnt have a bad night. Targeted 4times and had 3 catches for 28 yards.0 touchdowns. He also had 1 rush for 29 yards. Didnt see it or hear anything on it. I assume it may have been an end around type play
