Giants' Eli Manning, Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz assess Philadelphia Eagles' matchup

    http://www.giants101.com/2012/09/26/...agles-matchup/

Excerpt: "With Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers in the rearview and Michael Vick, LeSean McCoy and Jeremy Maclin of the Philadelphia Eagles on deck, we're turning the page around here…moving on from last week's feel-good victory and looking at what should be a tough game on the road for the Giants.

Despite how bad Philly looked last week getting spanked by the Arizona Cardinals, they always show up to play Big Blue so hopefully the Giants don't get caught in a trap. Tomorrow morning we'll have our Insider post with the guys from Eagles101.com giving us a scouting report, but for now let's hear what the Giants players themselves have to say about the Eagles.

First up: Eli Manning, who sees a defense that tries to do the same old thing but in a new way." Read more...

Ho hum...You just don't see Giant players criticize, ridicule, or belittle an opponent. TC has them well trained. Just upholding the tradition... Giants were rarely trash talkers. although LT was good at it, in a gentlemanly way... "Boy, you're gonna have to do better that that." Of course, he always had... "I'm gonna kick your ***." But, you never heard LT belittle an opponent.
I think there's going to be some mayhem on Sunday, with our D chasing down a desperately scrambling Vick.
Yet, those busted plays are the ones that can bite you in the butt... so, we need Controlled Mayhem. I think he's lost a half step, so maybe Boley and the boys can get to him. We're fortunate to have depth at OLine so they can get a break from pursuing.

Respect is given where respect is due, too bad the Eagles don't practice the same level of profesionalsim.

    Meh ... same ole Eagles.

It's a universal constant that if you beat up Santa Claus, you've pretty much jinxed yourself for life.

This is going to be a really good game. I can see it going down to the 4th quarter. Although I would love nothing more than the Giants crushing these guys, it's going to be a good close game. Even though it seemed like the media was bashing Asomugha(sp?), I still think he's a good corner and DRC has been playing well so far this year. I'm glad Barden had a coming out party last week, but he's going need to step up his game big time this week. Between Nicks, Cruz and Bennett, he's going to see tons of opportunities to break open in zones and one on one coverages.

I predict Ojomo coming off the bench breaks Vick in half in the 4th quarter.

he'll likely be inactive, so that would be very noteworthy
