We got bigger fish to fry boys than worrying about Jernigan. Right now he's a non-factor at a position of strength. One just has to hope that as with other backups he's putting in his work, learning to be a pro, improving his game so that if/when his number is called he's ready to make something happen.

Patience is a virtue most fans of the NFL have no interest in. Jernigan will be activated this week and most likely he will be the 4th wr but may get some 3rd looks if Randle cant handle the whole playbook.

Stop with the small thing - plenty of dmaned good wideouts are small (welker, santana moss, hawkins) when you have a great QB the only factor that matters is GETTING OPEN and being where you are supposed to be. This can take rookies and inexperienced players like Jernigan a lot of time. Some never get it - but we ARE WAY TO EARLY in eithers career to write them off. That said, Randle ahead of jernigan on the giants depth chart is a sign that they believe in him a bit more then jernal right now.

Still it's likely JJ gets a chance at some point - or he may go the way of sinorice - but its too early in his career to tell.

Much smaller window for Manning to throw to at 5'8". Cruz at 6'1" is a stud in the slot. Plus Randle and Wilson are returning kicks, so basically he's a wasted draft pick

If I remember right, Mario Manningham didn't hardly see the field at all during his first season, and still had route running struggles and dropsies as he worked his way into the lineup in the season after that.

If I remember right, Mario Manningham didn't hardly see the field at all during his first season, and still had route running struggles and dropsies as he worked his way into the lineup in the season after that.

It is true. Not only do you have to train physically at a whole different level in the NFL but with the Giants, you have to master a very complicated read and react route running package. Manningham, despite his enormous gifts, never got it completely. Jernigan and Randle are still struggling to get that part of it. Not much different from RB who better not fumble and darn well better protect the QB. If a WR is making the wrong reads, he will sit on this team. It doesn't mean they won't get it and it doesn't even mean they are not working hard. It just means that they aren't grasping the essentials of route running to play for us.
