i do agree that amnestying billups was dumb though.

i disagree that the knicks are the same team. i think they've improved by adding bargs (how much is yet to be seen).

i read that baron davis is working on a comeback. him and pablo off the bench would be solid.

ny being the mecca of basketball isn't related to MSG. it's about the fact that it's playgrounds have produced so many great players throughout the years.

and melo is a beast and easy to root for. nobody is perfect but the dude is arguably the most talented scorer in the league and a future hall of famer.
NY being the mecca of basketball has to do with both MSG and the playgrounds, as well as NYC High school and college hoops.

stephen a must be trolling us but he said lebron likes the idea of playing with melo in NY.

    lol

if both melo and lebron opt in for their final year next year, it's a realistic possibility.

we have to hope wade breaks down more and more and the heat don't win this upcoming season.

I honestly don't know what the issue is with fans and what the knicks have done. Sometimes things dont work out, but to act like any fans or basketball experts weren't extremely optomistic about the knicks adding both Melo and Stat is utterly ridiculous. Its hindsight at its worst. Things don't work out sometimes, but at least the teams competitive now and with a possibly tweak here or tweak there can probably be even more competitive, which hopefully adding Bargniani and Hardaway Jr will do. Also, if it dosen't work, knicks will get a ton of money off the books at around the same time, so they can court a diffrent group of FA's if they have to. Shump, Hardaway Jr, Prig, Melo, Stat, Bargs, Chandler, Felton, and JR Smith is a pretty good nucleus of players.

ron artest is likely to be amnestied by the lakers and he wants to play for the knicks. the problem is someone under the cap might claim him. he has said he would retire if a bad team claims him so that may scare teams off.

adding artest for the vet min would be excellent.

    dont see that happening
Football has been very, very good to us.
In the midst of this losing season, we can console ourselves with this fact-

    # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
2-Washington, Green Bay, Denver, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
    3-San Francisco, Dallas, New England
    4-New York Giants!!!!!

God please no, he's a quack and isn't even that great of a defender anymore. Besides, between Melo, Bargs and JR where is he finding minutes at the 3?

Knicks need to get either Brand or KMart, a young, quick, defensive PG, and a legit back-up Center (maybe dalember of return of Mozgov?).

That pretty much fills the roster.

In the end, the only chance the Knicks have of being a contending team is if somehow Stat returns to being a great player.
All Hail The New York Giants!!
