The Giants have made the superbowl 5 times, 1986, 1990, 2000, 2007, 2011

Out of every game the Giants played during each of those playoff runs...only once had a team scored more than 20 points on them. It was their only loss to Baltimore in 2000. So, it's pretty simple...keep a team under 20 points and the chances the Giants win another superbowl is great. It's still all about the defense.

Yep and they did it playing some pretty darn good teams over those runs. they came up against the likes of some high scoring teams in Denver in 86 and Buffalo in 90. Also GB in both 07 and especially last season. Had the back to back niners that were very good and a host of other teams that were averaging way over 20ppg...

The craziest part of our Superbowl runs, the 41-0 beatdown of the high scoring Vikings is one my best playoff memories which is odd because we got destroyed in the Superbowl.

Agreed playoff run was amazing, beating the Eagles with Seahorns crazy int & blowing out Randy Moss & Vikings. A super bowl win would have been a nice cherry on top.
