Of the 11 starters on Defense, how many would you want back next year?

    Not many.

JPP, Webster, Kiwi (as a DE)

Tuck yes, although I have serious doubts this guy will ever be a top notch lineman again

    Canty - NO
Joseph - yes, but he got pushed around today
Boley - He is average at best and may have some legal issues
    Ross- No
    Rolle - No
Phillips - Yes, although you know he wont make it thorough the season

    Goodbye Osi

I'm disturbed by some of your remarks.

Phillips won't make it through the season? He's played pretty damn well this year 7 hasn't missed much time. For his first year back I'd say he's done his job.

Canty takes way too much heat because of the contract he signed.

    Boley is well above average.

Ross don't let the door hit you on the way out.
Rolle is a pretty good safety he's just being asked to do too much & playing out of position.

We need Osi back... our pass rush suffered severely without him.
    ALL IN!!!!!!!!

    I'm ALL IN are you?

Don't be disturbed it is just my opinion. I like Phillips but I feel he will always be hampered with injuries. I hope I am wrong. Canty gets no push, we really miss Cofield although I understand why he wasn't re-signed. Boley is average and not an impact player. Other than Webster no one in this secondary can raise there head and say they have done a good job. Osi is gone, bet the ranch on it.

No way I let Osi go. He knows if he ever wants any contract at all he will need to have a big year. No reason to let him walk or trade him off this year. We would be luckey to get a 2nd or 3rd for him. If he plays like he's capable of with JPP and Tuck and get a good DC who dont have us play not to lose we can have a nice defense with that pass rush.

Too many players and factors to list but:

Canty - makes too much season ($6 million) and is certainly a very outspoken politician when things go wrong. Puts loses behind him too quickly when speaking to media.

O$I - he won't even try to come back. Unless the Giants get a nice pick. I'd sit his miserable tail

Kiwi - unless another DE is selected #1, I'd put Kiwi at DE.

Rolle - the loudest one in the room is usually the weakest and Rolle is very, very loud. It's a laundry list not worth repeating and I think the laudry needs to be sent out.

    Ross - go run track

I agree with getting rid of Canty, Ross and Osi. Rolle has been playing out of position and our secondary has been depleted this season. Rolle leads the team in tackles which speaks volumes about our LBs. Boley has been better than average and I would keep him as well considering he is the only decent starting LB we have. Keep Joseph and it seems like KP is finally becoming more than just a hard hitting safety.

    STARTERS

    >Keep
    1. JPP
    2. Webster
    3. Osi
    4. Boley
    5. Joseph - Only in his 2nd year, I guess well see if he's any good next season.
    6. Kiwi - back at DE to replace Tuck
    7. J Williams - only because he was given so much to learn and do and is still a project IMO.
    8. Tuck - I blame injury, I hope I'm right
    9. Phillips - Overrated as he and never makes big plays, but hey, we need some consistency back there next year

    >Throw away
    Rolle - due sucks
Canty - Not worth the price of services
    Ross - can't cover

    OTHER PLAYERS

    >Keep
    -Tollefson (back up)
    -Blackburn (back up)
-Amekamura (obviously can't throw away a 1st round pick after half a season even though he has bust written all over him)

    >Throw away
-Greg Jones, he was given an opportunity, but he is too small for MLB
    -Blackmon
    -Bernard
    -Perry Fewell

What is the love with KIWI? He 's too small as a DE & too big & slow @ LB.
    JPP & Webster Phillips & that's it. T

uck's going down hill fast, OSI he's already over the hill. Canty never was. None of the LB's are starters. Why are we all upset with Fewell? He ain't got no players. He don't have the speed nor D line to play man. No LB's to play zone very well. It's just sad...
