Well, we're 5 - 2 and enjoying first place in the NFC East. But there is no time to relax or take any game for granted. Today's game against the Dallas Cowboys is not just important for the W and L columns but to get us even in Division wins and losses at 2 - 2.
We are going into this game healthier than we have been for most of the season to date. Hakeem Nicks says he has his "burst" back. Chris Canty will be playing in his second game of the season against his former team. Eli is art the top of his game, Cruz seems to continue to make "those plays" he's become famous for. The OLine has been playing better each week with Eli being sacked just six times through 7 games. We've gotten David Diehl back and he's been practicing at TE. As versatile as he has been, this could be a niche for him in what is likely his last season as a Giant.
Does the Defense of old finally put it all together today? Do we take it to Romo as we have in the past? Helping the DLine is the rejuvenated Secondary. Amukamara, Rolle, Brown, Hosley, and Corey Webster can make life difficult for Romo by taking away his targets, especially Witten. If that happens, the DLine should look like sack central.
What can we say about Special Teams? They have become an equal partner in our game plans. Weatherford and Tynes have been GOLDEN . The coverage team has held the opponents inside the 20 more than I can ever remember any of our previous teams doing. David Wilson? It's time to break one for a TD, he clearly has it in him. Will today be the day?
We need 60 minutes of smart, aggressive, mistake free football. FINISH!
HERE WE GO, GIANTS, HERE WE GO!!
