Actually, the Redskins only got 16 yards on the 3rd and 17 (which was immediately followed by an easy 4th and 1 conversion). See, our defense is much better than you think!</P>

I wonder if the NFL keeps stats on that? They keep track of converting 3rd and long. What about defending 3rd and very long (12+).

Either way, we do seem to end up on the wrong side of a lot of downright loserly plays.
