Big Ben hurt again. This time his throwing shoulder could be blown up. Sounds like he may need season ending surgery.
The injury Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger suffered to his throwing shoulder Monday night could be pretty significant, one that could take a while to heal, a source close to the team said.
Roethlisberger is "extremely sore" Tuesday morning and "hurting pretty bad," the source said. He is headed to get another MRI, which will give the team a better idea of the significance of the injury to his right shoulder.
It seemed highly unusual and perhaps an indication of the seriousness of the injury that Monday night Roethlisberger went from the stadium to the hospital for an MRI on his right shoulder so late at night and remained there past midnight.
