I think there may be more dropped, good throws by Eli than bad throws. many key throws , Eli puts them right on the money , in the hands-DROPPED!

There is nothing wrong with this offensive scheme....Its won us 2 superbowls and has been one of the most electrifying offenses in the NFL for several seasons whether is was running the ball or throwing in the air. The problem with our offense is execution. We have receivers that drop easy passes or lose contraction of where the out of bounds is in the endzone. We have a running back that constantly fumbles and a rookie runningback that is no help in the passing game. We have all these one-dimensional players surrounding Eli Manning. We have no 3rd receiver or tight end, the interior of our offensive line is a mess and Bradshaw bad feet is starting to slow him down.
What went wrong:
No replacement for Manningham and Ballard this season.
Offensive line hasn't been addressed, and we have some free agent busts in Baas and Boothe.
Running back was finally addressed after the departure of Jacobs, but we did not find a pro-ready rookie...we sat back in draft day sealing our fate.
Its one man who made these mistakes...and you know who it is. Its not the coaching staff, its the players failing to execute.
We won the Superbowl in spite of our glaring weaknesses because we had some players really step up at an elite level...Eli, Cruz, JPP.
i am a big eli guy, but his throws have been off lately. a lot of this slump is on him. no, he hasnt gotten much help like cruz dropping TDs, bennett doing his best manningham impression to not keep his feet in for TDs. that being said, he is forcing things when he is pressured, and it looks like he's letting the poor protection ftustration get to him and lead him into dumb mistakes.
that being said i agree with your points on the red zone offense. so predictable, and they always get into a tough 3rd down and then a tynes kick.
i know nicks is banged up but why he doesnt see a ton of throws in the red zone idk, or even bennett for that matter because he can win balls on size alone. it drives me crazy how KG can call some nice plays to get down the field with the pass, and then he tries some garbage "power runs' inside the 20 to score. and they are always the same formations and results.
agree with this too.
kills me how little we utilize a checkdown. other QBs LIVE off of checkdowns when their first options arent there and it helps their offense immensely. (brees, ryan).
i wish we could see wilson more for this reason, because i think he can be dangerous in space, but he had terrible drops early in the season and i think the coaches still havent gained confidence in him in that regard,
....and i thought this place was nutty during the season.
yep. i love the way brees and the saints use sproles. not the best runnning team, so they design simple short passes for sproles and send him as a checkdown so if brees has nothing downfield, he can get some easy yardage on early downs. i think it has been even more ffective than their run game.
