    Every good organization should have a handle on who's available at a given time. Continuous improvement applies to our backups and guys on the practice squad. I would expect that the Giants do this all the time and very few are actually picked up.
    No one remembers who came in second.

    I know all teams are aware of whos available,I highly doubt this is someone who maybe just fly under the radar.

    Curtis Painter? Are we trying to lose? I don't care if he doesn't play a single snap, he's just that bad.

    Torain declined in production and consistency from what Shanahan said. He also lost his burst through the holes. Plus the emergence of Helu and Royster made him expendable. He also is not that good of a blocker.

    They have Alfred Morris. They aren't dumb.
    Torain is made of glass and it looks like his frequent injuries caught up with him.

    Maurice Morris or Cadillac Williams could be ok fits. Not starting material but they could fill in easily.

    As for Painter, they could be looking to replace Carr next year.
