I'm curious to know where does poor Kerry Collins rank amongst Giants QB's? I mean the man did somewhat help pull us up from the depths of mediocrity. I'll remember that 41-0 beatdown of the Vikes forever. Lots of good memories with those Giants... some heartbreakers too but that comes with the territory.

Yeah he did use to stare down the receivers a lot but when he was on he would carve up a defense like a Thanksgiving turkey. Those were rare moments though and I don't think there was a time when he backed up to make a pass when I didn't hold my breath. He got awfully hot in '02 though until the defense folded against San Fran and the refs cheated us. They had the nerve to issue an apology the following week which made me even sicker. Besides that, I thought we were on our way back to the Superbowl.

YA had this team in 3 straight Championships and is absolutely in the argument as not only one of the best NY Giant QBs.....but one of the best QBs the NFL has ever seen

he was completing over 60% of his passes and throwing for over 3000 yds and 30 plus TDs in the days when you could mug receivers

also in 14 game seasons

3 straight championship losses......couldn't win the big one
anyways with only a 4 year body of work to be classified as an all=time greatest on
any team is just ludicrous .

his last year in '64 , the Giants went 2-10-2
and YA had only 10 td's vs 22 pics.i don't even think Dave Brown can match that.
hey , he did really great for a temp hired gun.....but he wasn't a Giant long enough to qualify.

there were only 14 teams (10 of which sucked) and 2 divisions.....the championship was the ONLY playoff game.
he choked all 3 times......3 times 1 and done. (Romo-esque)
even Kerry Collins had a few post season wins (as an old hired gun....and equatable to YA as such)

this guy was one of the games all-time famous-for-nothing legends. Kelly...Tarkenton....there is
a long list of QB's with equal or better stats that never won anything.
he probably isn't even in the top 10 best of the ones without a ring.

Marino,Tarkenton,Moon,Kelly.....etc.

for the record...
26th all-time passing yards. which is very respectable ,but not top 10.
18th all time in TD's (242) pretty good , but still not even close to top 10.

the only thing YA tittle was in the top 10 in was.....
9th all-time in interceptions thrown.
he threw 248 int's , but only 242 TD's

he actually threw 6 more pics than td's.
