Lost to Philly by 2 and skins by 1

Difference between being 9-3 and in complete control of NFCE and being 7-5 and in a dog fight.. Well I will just hang my hat on the fact that after our 07 Title we killed everyone out of the gate and started 11-1 and easily won NFCE only to slump late (blame plax or not, I don't care) and fall flat in first playoff game. Maybe we struggle this time around but be more like the 11 season then the 08 season
Football has been very, very good to us.
In the midst of this losing season, we can console ourselves with this fact-

    # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
2-Washington, Green Bay, Denver, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
    3-San Francisco, Dallas, New England
    4-New York Giants!!!!!

In the end, that one didn't matter last night. If we had that fg and a 19-17, the Skins would have gotten a fg at the end of the game....they just didn't need it.

The PI penalty in Philly really hurt. They got too greedy, although the penalty was a weak call itself. But after 2 consecutive defensive PIs one would have to figure that the third one would go against the offense.

The NFL season (especially the NFC East) is an all-out war of attrition. Last man standing wins -- we don't know who that's going to be yet. Don't discount the mental toughness of a Tom Coughlin coached team. Say what you want, but that's been proven out over the last 5 years.

We also lost a golden opportunity to pick up a game on two teams that have been ahead of us all season cause they have not lost much. Chicago and SF both lost on Sunday. We could of pulled to within 1/2 game of SF with a win in our pocket over them and had same record as the Bears. We could of moved up closer to claiming a 3seed or even overtaking SF for a bye. but we always have to do it the hard way. I am thinking the window is closing on a WC and we will need to win this div to get in. Fact is we cant tie records with dallas or Skins

Being defeated is often a temporary condition. Giving up is what makes it permanent.

True. Its a week to week league. Teams fans get down on them and say season is over one week and say we are going all the way the next week. Look at the beating we were given by Cinn. Then we play a HOT team that had won 5in a row and BLOW THEM OUT. the following week we lay an egg in Washington while GB bounced back and beat the Vikings. Hopefully both Dallas and Skins who are riding high right now suffer losses next week to Cinn and Ravens and we can end our draught vs NO
