    Will we make the playoffs?

    The schedule works out in the Redskins favor so much it's depressing. We really needed that win yesterday...

    Giants (7-5)

    Saints L
    @Falcons L
    @Ravens W/L
    Eagles W

    Season Ending Best: 9-7, Division 3-3
    Season Ending Worst: 8-8, Division 3-3

    Redskins (6-6)

    Ravens W/L
    @Browns W
    @Eagles W
    Cowboys W/L

    Season Ending Best: 10-6, Division 5-1
    Season Ending Worse: 8-8, Division 4-2

    Cowboys (6-6)

    @Bengals W/L
    Steelers L
    Saints W
    @Redskins W/L

    Season Ending Best: 9-7, DIvision 4-2
    Season Ending Worse: 7-9, Divsion 3-3

    I don't think the Cowboys beat the Bengals and the Saints. I believe our only true competition is Washington. They are on Fire right now and starting to mesh, but I do believe that we will make the playoffs.

    Our best outcome is 9-7?

    Washington is a .500 team at best. They will lose this week and probably to Cleveland who is playing some good football right now.

    Based on what I think are guaranteed losses I think so. I have seen this same defense against the Saints too long to believe it won't be a Drew Brees breaks every record game, and Atlanta's offense with their WR and more than that their RB (Rogers) will overwhelm us. Hopefully I'm wrong.

    Don't forget we are catching Brees at the worse time too. He essentially lost 2 games in a row and has 6 INTs. He's going to come out swinging against us, a defense he knows he can torch.

    My best case scenario for the Giants would be:

    Saints - W
    Falcons - L
    Ravens - W
    Eagles W

    This would obviously make them 10-6 and should get them into the playoffs. However, based on the way they have played against the Redskins, Bengals and Steelers (as opposed to how they played against the Packers), they could easily finish 8-8 by losing the next three games against quality opponents.

    I see the Redskins finishing 9-7, losing to the Ravens and winning the final three weeks.

    I see the Cowboys finishing 8-8 with losses to the Steelers and Redskins. The Redskins vs. Cowboys game is really a toss up though, but they could also lose to the Saints.

    Bottom line, if the Giants play to their capabilities they could/should go 10-6. I don't see either the Redskins or Cowboys winning out based on their remaining schedule, so that should give the Giants the division.

    That said, I wouldn't be at all shocked if they Giants found themselves on the outside looking in come week 17.

    I also see the giants heading in to ATL and hittting them in the mouth. They have a weak schedule and I don't believe they are as good as their record says they are.

    I can tell you right now that we're going to beat the Saints. Brees is average at best in open-air december weather. Only thing to worry about is Spags, since Killdrive hasn't changed the playbook on offense since Spags was with us.

    Ravens game is quite winnable. I mean, they lost to Charlie freaking Batch. Also Suggs is out for a while. The flipside to this is that the Skins will beat them too...

    There are no guaranteed losses with our team. We beat SF and GB in blowouts. No team is "guaranteed" beating us. That doesn't mean that we can't lose those games either, but the notion that there are "guaranteed Giants losses to any team in the NFL is alarmism at its worst.

    Can they make it in at 9-7 because that's what it looks like they might end up being. A loss this week and next week. A win against a Ravens team with nothing to play for and believe it or not they beat the Eagles.
