Just saw on NFL live that if giants win eagles are out? Does that mean we own the tiebreaker over the eagles?I thought the situation originally was if all teams ended 8-8 eagles get in?

No if we win they're out. They need a lot to get in. They need us to lose to the Jets and beat the Cowboys, and they need to beat the cowboys and beat the redskins.
A three way tie of 8-8 gives the Eagles the division. If Dallas beats them they are eliminated. If the Giants lose tomorrow and Dallas beats the Eagles then Dallas wins the East.
If Giants beat Jets, then it is impossible for both Cowboys and Giants to finish 8-8 as they are playing each other week 17. The winner of that game will win the division.

No one remembers who came in second.

Because the Eagles need the Giants and Cowboys to both finish 8-8. If the Giants beat the Jets, then one of these two teams - Dallas and New York - are guaranteed to finish at least 8-7-1 or better.
