....Kyle Bonagura of CBSSports.com reports that Jacobs is
no longer with the 49ers. Comcast SportsNet Bay Area says Jacobs was seen packing his car in the
49ers parking lot Monday afternoon..
The
49ers recently lost backup Kendall Hunter for the season but remain stocked at running back with younger talent like
LaMichael James and
Anthony Dixon. A regular fixture on the inactive list, Jacobs finally lost his cool last week,
complaining he was "rotting away" by the Bay. He has five carries all season.
The move makes sense after listening to
Jim Harbaugh's Monday
meeting with reporters.
Harbaugh was asked if Jacobs was still with the team.
"I don't ... I really don't have a comment for you on that at this point," Harbaugh said, via Matt Barrows of The Sacramento Bee. "No comment."
Reporter: "Have you spoken to him?"
Harbaugh: "No comment."
Reporter: "Is he still part of the team?"
Harbaugh: "I invoke the Fifth Amendment. I have no comment on that."
(Very persistent) Reporter: "Did you know when you acquired him that he had a tendency to complain about playing time?"
Harbaugh: "Yeah, at this time, at this hour, I choose to have no comment."....
