The 1997 Giants

I hear alot how underrated they were. Were they one of those under the radar teams that could have went all the way? Would they have provided a threat to the Packers and Broncos that year had they went all the way? I really believe the Vikings did us a favor that year otherwise I think we might not have made the super bowl even though we lost in the big game anyway. What do you guys think? Were the Giants good enough that year to be like the 07 or 11 Giants.

I was 8 myself when they first made it back to the playoffs. The fact that Fassel made a team with Danny Kanell on it a playoff team was impressive to say the least. That's kinda how the Falcons are now and the Niners with Smith... mediocre QB surrounded with a huge amount of talent.

I loved the 1997 team and I was only 13 years old. It was sad that they blew it against the Vikings in the playoffs because they were fighting on the sidelines. We eventually lost it on special teams.
