If we took 1993 Dave Brown and put him under center today...

What would our record be, would be be a jaguar/chief esque team, and if so how high would our draft pick be?

Let's say for the sake of argument that Brown had an offseason or two to fully grasp our offense.

I'm going to go ahead and put Morehead & Harroni down for 19-0 right now...

well....although this thread is for fun I always stick up for Dave Brown...
He stunk...no question about it but the guy tried as hard as he could. He gave 100%.
While his 100% wasnt nearly enough you cant ask any more from someone.....

No....if he was here it would be bad.....

I wish we could have a QB with Eli or Phil's skills and Dave Sanchez's determination...

No one remembers who came in second.

At his best, Dave Brown couldn't carry Mark Sanchez' jock strap so where does that leave us? lol

    I'd say we'd be about 2-14 , 3-13 type team
Football has been very, very good to us.
In the midst of this losing season, we can console ourselves with this fact-

    # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
2-Washington, Green Bay, Denver, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
    3-San Francisco, Dallas, New England
    4-New York Giants!!!!!

Dave never had the receivers Eli have. Dave never had a first round pick wr. Who was Mike Sherrard and Chrs Callaway? They weren't that great and Hampton didn't provide any help. You got to at least give people the right players. Look at Eli at the beginning. He had over the hill players in Toomer and Ike Illard. Shockey was a head case and look at what happened to Eli. Now with more weapons, Eli can do more.

Yet I will say that I think he would have done very well with the offense today.

I thought Dave Brown did better than San. Dave really didn't have talented receivers. Eli would have done real bad with Dave Browns receivers.
