David Wilson can tell you exactly what he did well last Sunday in Atlanta, and exactly where he struggled. And the rookie can tell you this, too: If Ahmad Bradshaw isn’t cleared to play this Sunday in Baltimore, he will just play a little bit better in his second start in the NFL.
“Yeah, I mean, I’m just trying to get better and better,” Wilson said on Thursday. “You make mistakes but you want to limit those mistakes and give the coaches 100% confidence.”
The Giants are still hoping that Bradshaw can suit up for Sunday’s critical game against the Ravens. The veteran missed last Sunday’s game with a sprained knee, and he has not practiced all week, but he has repeatedly said he plans to play. Tom Coughlin, however, indicated only that Bradshaw will practice Friday. A decision will be made after that.
“If we can get (him) some snaps (Friday), we’ll be able to tell better,” Coughlin said.
That means it’s possible that Wilson will start for a second straight week. With Bradshaw sidelined, Wilson has once again shouldered the practice load. Backups Kregg Lumpkin and Ryan Torain have also seen action." Read more...
