Andy Reid has had no talent

Unless you count Brian Westbook, Brian Dawkins, Lashawn McCoy, Terrel Owens, Asante Samuels, Mike Vick, Desean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, etc to name a few. Stop this crap about Reid having no talent to work with. He had his playmakers and accomplished nothing. He does not have a spot in NY, so stop lobbying for him. I hope he gets canned at seasons end, because he is a good coach who has had our number for a few seasons, but lets not make him out to be Lombardi.
We need fresh blood in NY, whether it be Cowher or anyone else, it will never be that fat, walrus looking, miscreant raising fail machine they call Andy Reid. Let's move on.

Hes consistently won playoff games and has taken his team to 8 NFC East titles, 5 NFC Championships and 1 superbowl apperance. He's consisitly hired good sound Co-ordinators and positional coaches and has consistently put up 10/11+ win seasons..

Tom Coughlin has taken his team to to the playoffs in 4 of his 7 seasons. He's won playoff games in 1 of his 7 seasons and has managed to win more that 10 games in 2 of those 7 seasons and has 2 NFC east championships and a superbowl, he has consistently hired poor coaches.


Im a Coughlin fan and he's a good coach.. Andy Reid has plenty of talent as a coach and has had talent to work with and he's had a massive say in aquiring that talent...and we as Giants fans know only too well how that talent has played out on the field

I was revving up in my mind ready to blast you based on the title... Good post.

As for BB2^ it's very similar to the situation we have here with Coughlin -- you should see how the Eagle fans pull their hair out over Reid's gameplanning. Except the meltdown comes later in the season, instead of collapsing just before the playoffs they usually collapse IN the playoffs, either way deeper than the Giants. 5 NFC Championship Games, they just can't get over that hump. They look like world beaters one week and then lay an egg like their last game in Seattle. Sound familiar?

But yeah, he certainly has the Giants' number. If you were to judge Coughlin solely on games against the Eagles (and that includes 2 playoff losses and lost battles for the division crown almost every year) Coughlin suddenly doesn't look so good. In fact he looks like garbage.

And that has to factor in to Coughlin's evaluation. Didn't somebody in this organization once say teams are built to win the division?

AR is as good a coach as there is. His teams have certainly been more than the Giants can handle over the years.

If AR is available (and he wont be because the Eagles know what they have), the Giants would be stupid not to strongly consider him.

What really makes Andy Reid great is he is a master of personel. He has shown time and again his skill in drafting role players as well as stars, and every year he masterfully assembles a top notch coaching staff and team.

Even when it doesn't look like much, he fields a competitive team, and even when they have no hope, they stand by him and play hard for him.

In Philly, they're screaming for his head, but that's what they do to all their sports greats when they don't meet expectations.
