Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post asked Steve Smith if he regrets leaving the Giants for the Eagles. Smith's response? "Oh, no. I'd rather have more money in my pocket."
And to think there are fans on these boards who want him back next season.

I was done with him the second he signed that contract with the Eagles.
what a dumbass. if he was patient, put in a decent season the giants probably would of paid him more.big dummy.
honestly, your both better than that
Dude never got a big contract, never made huge money. 1 Million different to him really isn't much of a difference than a million dollars to us
Lets stop like he should of been better than that - no he shouldn't of. He should of went to Philly. There is NO guarantee in his future in the NFL and especially when he signed that deal it was looking grimm
He would of been a moron to sign here. We all got emotional at first about it, but by now u have to come to your senses. If he signed a big deal here and then got hurt and he got cut u wouldn't be cursing out the organization.
I still think theres a shot hes back next year. depends what happens with Mario
I can't kill him for taking that money all... hecould have maybe toned down the talk but hey he was mad at what he throught was a **** offer from the Giants ...I don't care one way or the other if he comes back....Matt do you think this coaching staff game plans downto the level of competition form week to week.....we blitz the eagles /pats to take away their pass game we play the 49'ers totally against the run...when they come throwing we don't adjust or it seemed ...this staff drives me crazy....they got out coached last week... imo
not sure what you mean by game plans down
I think they try to stick to their general philosophies, while taking into account their opponents philosophies and successes, and try to attack the weaknesses they see.
Im not sure i'd call that performance past week game planning down. The reality of it is that the last TD SF scored, they got the ball on the 17 to start the drive, the VD TD was a ****up by Jones by not recognizing he was in man coverage and VD streaked the field wide open. I just disagree that Alex Smith looked as good as people are suggesting. Reality of it is if we defend that play vs Davis its 3rd down and they would of had to hit a 50 yarder.
well when we played the eagles and the pats we went after brady and vick it seems like we played the 49'er totally different defensively....
yea but i don't consider that anything more than game planning
You can't play the Pats the same way you play the Eagles even. I mean sure in the sense that you have to guard vs the pass but with the eagles your gameplanning for big plays and containing a speed QB while NE is all about dipping an dunking passes with a statue QB.
Our general philosophy is always intact of breaking the QB, but you can't just wrecklessly blitz the Eagles as you would the Pats. You have to account for what Vick can do on his feet
So I guess that answer is yes what we do completely dictates on what we think the offense will try and do. Thats true anywhere. Even the STeelers who typically zone blitz and zone cover, man pressed the **** out of the pats.
wellI hear ya butI would have liked to have seen a little more pressure on Smith...anyhow
well it wasn't like we didn't try, their OLine is pretty legit.
Also, the fact that the best way to tone down a pass rush is3 step drops with quick releases, which is what happened. HAve to tip your hat to the niners, they have a great base of a team. They can own the line of scrimmage vs anybody on both sides of the ball - something we use to be able to do
