if the kid earned it then that's fine, I just doubt that he did, what his father makes shouldn't have any effect on the kids ability to acquire a scholarship through.

If you are claiming that "other people need it more" so he shouldn't be able to get it I whole heartily disagree with that kind of sentiment, that is a socialistic view point....

you are pretty much saying, **** this kids hard work...he would have succeeded anyhow lets help someone else...that's a terrible idea...because then he has no reason to work hard, it's like you "want" more trust fund babies like Paris Hilton in the world.

(btw my first response was obviously tongue in cheek if you did get that :P)

yea i got your first post lol.
like i said, I think it's great that the kid worked hard enough to be rewarded with the scholarship. However, when money is not an object, I think it's pretty selfish to accept what is supposed to be a monetary relief of sorts for college students who busted their *** through high school, or who excelled in a sport etc.

NOW, I would be inclined to have a different opinion if Diddy was literally sending his kid off on his own...no financial support whatsoever. Cut him off so to speak. But lets be perfectly honest, you know thats not the case lol

Whether or not the kid going for a scholarship has a rich father or not shouldn't matter.

One kids poor the other kids rich, if the rich kid scores a 99 and the poor kid scores a 97 (using numbers for simplicity) the scholarship should go to the rich kid...I'm sorry but you should not be punished for something you had no control over (his father being rich)....the poor kid should have scored 100 if he wanted the scholarship.

    lol....Daven....
I already said that the kid deserves it, due to the accomplishment.....however I find it hard it hard to believe that he would still accept it. I never said he should be punished....inever said he didnt deserve it....
I said that I think it's ridiculous that he would ACCEPT it.

Why? Sean Combs probably pays, through taxes, for hundreds of kids to go to school every year already anyhow...if his kid was good enough to get a free ride why shouldn't he...the money going to his kid for college is far less then what he is already paying for other peoples kids to go to college already anyhow most likely.
