ill never understand how to lift with just your legs and not your back. makes no sense.
It's quite easy, when you lift something heavy its best that you use your legs. Using your back will just get you hurt or even worse a hernia.
The best way to explain how to lift with your legs is to put emphasis on your legs, make your legs do majority of the lifting. Using your arms as just a way to hold the object.

if it hurts stop, you probably ain't doing it right....or your back is screwed up already ........these guys got it right Dezz ...myself I don't remember ever making a consious effort to make sure I was doing it right **** had to be moved I moved /carried....at age 60 my back ain't so hot anymore...I have more trouble with my neck to much head banging and always looking up doing stuff wiped it out....
