Giants CB Prince Amukamara has begun doing cornerback drills in this week's practices.</P></DIV>
    <DIV class=impact>"I don't feel pain at all but right now," Amukamara said, but cautioned that he's still "timid and hesitant, it's pretty awkward right now." The Giants seem to be targeting an early October return for Amukamara. Fill-in starter Aaron Ross was benched during Monday night's game, so Amukamara could have a major role by mid-season. </DIV>
</P>

    We all know he's going to pull a hammy or a quad before he has a chance to help us.</P>
the one thing that rings in my head about this is Beatty hjad the same injur ylsat year and he said he wasn't right for the rest of the season because he didn't have the confidence that his foot could hold up. I would have to think, it would be harder for Prince to overcome as well
</P>

    The guy had no mini camps, to training camp, no pre season games. No work with the defense..He's obviously not going to be in any kind of shape.</P>

    If we try to bring him back without proper preparation he's going to get hurt. It is highly unlikely that Prince will be in a position to help us until much later in the season, and lets face it, our season may very well be over by then.</P>
i think we have enough of a schedule the first half that we could maintain. We need somebody to step up in the secondary and the line to get it together. I think the line will end up being okay, but it really starts this week.

    This will really set the tone for us as a team. Win or lose, it is about how we are going to play this week
</P>

    We were lucky to beat a team at home with their best offensive player out and a bunch of undrafted free agents running pass patterns.</P>

    I hate to be a pessimist and I hope I'm wrong but we are on the verge of collapse. How on earth are we going to cover Jackson and Maclin when we couldn't cover whoever was out there for the Rams?</P>

    I see them putting up a 45 burger on us. </P>

    Maybe we can run the ball...maybe. but with the injuries at WR they will be stuffing 9 guys in the box.</P>

    I really don't know who is in worse shape, the Giants or the Sox.</P>

    I disagree. STeven Jackson would of made no difference in that agme. We are stout against the run.

    Again per Fewell alot of passes given up were on miscommunications. Is it really impossible to thin kthat this is the week we've gotten it together. Do you not remember how we started the 07 season?

    I disagree. STeven Jackson would of made no difference in that agme. We are stout against the run.

    Again per Fewell alot of passes given up were on miscommunications. Is it really impossible to thin kthat this is the week we've gotten it together. Do you not remember how we started the 07 season?

    Its week 3 pappy. 3 weeks from now is a life time.

    The sox - DEFINITLY
id like to be optimistic but if these passes and "miscues" have been happening since last year. i see jackson and mclain tourching us, again. how can you not.
    and i think theres a big difference between spags and fewell. BIG. we all have to accept fewell isnt that good of a dc.

    well no sense in debating it. Have to see what happens on sunday

    but just know that we ran ALOT more man than originally thought.

    I think we'll be alrite. I like to see hwat Coe can do to be honest.

    We hit Vick last year - thats why we almost won that second game. Thats the key to it all. Hitting vick and containing McCoy

    And then not playing the worst football ever for 7.5 minutes
    Fear the name, appreciate the game
