</div>Giants coach Tom Coughlin said Monday that he considers Hakeem Nicks "day to day" with a strained right hamstring.

It sounds like the injury may cost Nicks some
practice time. Immediately after Sunday's win, Nicks described the
strain as "slight," suggesting there is no tear of the muscle. In Week
9, the Giants face the Patriots, who are getting gashed by the pass
while having lost two of their top three corners and benched one starter
at safety. Victor Cruz would start if Nicks can't go.

Tryon played 20 snaps, all in sub-packages, and
also had two tackles on special teams. While he displayed incredible
toughness on Sunday, Tryon will now require surgery. The G-Men are
expected to get back Prince Amukamara (foot) in the coming weeks, so
they have a natural replacement in order.
